It started after the last mission. She'd gotten into a tight spot,and just as she thought she was going to meet her fate, Rex had charged over the ramparts of the building where she was fighting for her life.
He'd descended on the droids like a storm, firing his sidearms and letting out a battle cry of thunderous volume. Within minutes they were fighting back to back, reducing the droids to scrap. He'd picked her up and carried her to safety.
Now whenever he was around her stomach would flutter and her heart raced. The room would suddenly get warmer, and she found herself looking at him and turning away when he would look in her direction.
She knew what it was and had to remind herself that it was forbidden. She was a Jedi, and Jedi didn't have crushes. But she couldn't help what she felt. This was going to make things complicated.

"Is she dead, Sir?"
"Yes, but I'll make sure it's finished. The rest of you head back and finish mopping up the droids. I've got this."
"Yes, Sir," his men answer in unison and move off to help the rest of their brothers finish the battle.
She hears him make his way down the slope she'd fallen down when he'd shot her, and slowly rolls over to see him crouch over her. She slowly,painfully tries to scoot back from him as he reaches out for her.
"Why..." she croaks, tears beginning to fall from her eyes. "Why,Rex?"
"Orders," he replies simply. His head tilts to the side for a moment,then he answers the transmission. "Yes, she's dead. Putting one final round in her to make sure." He pulls his blaster out and fires into the rocks a few feet from her.
